Putting it in simple words we can control our home appliances or gadgets with our smartphone's or specifically designed gadgets. The devices which are meant to be controlled are linked to the internet. That's why it is known as "Internet Of Things".
Remotely you can control anything from anywhere as long as the devices are connected to the internet. This helps making human's life much easier.
