The new version of the Mac Pro



The Apple website now lists two upgraded configurations of the tubular Mac Pro. The Mac Pro base model now priced at $2,999 (Rs. 1,94,743) down from $3,999 (Rs. 2,59,680). The new base model has upgraded specifications including a 3.5GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, Dual AMD FirePro D500 GPUs and 16GB of RAM, up from the old quad-core processor with 12GB RAM.

The second model is priced at $3,999 (roughly Rs. 2,59,680) and packs a 3.0GHz 8-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, Dual AMD FirePro D700 GPUs and 16GB of RAM. Storage expansion for both models support up to 256GB and can be upgraded to 512GB or 1TB. The reshuffled Mac Pro models offer 4 USB 3 ports, 6 Thunderbolt 2 ports, Dual Gigabit Ethernet, and HDMI 1.4 UltraHD ports. Wireless connectivity include Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. The Mac Pro keeps the same measurements at 9.9-inch and 6.6-inch and weighs 11 pounds.

Apple earlier this week admitted that their Mac Pro needs an upgrade and plans on doing so in the near future.The Cupertino giant did confirm that the new Mac Pro will be launched alongside a brand new Pro external display as well.
