The smartphone giant Samsung is ready to launch its next-generation Exynos SoC(System on a Chip) on November 14 at an event. The Exynos is the Samsung's official processor that is clamied to offer powerful performance, better power efficiency and seamless LTE. Samsung has not yet revealed the name of the processor, however rumors suggest that the processor might be called as Exynos 9820.
Interestingly, the Exynos 9820 processor is said to be the next flagship of Samsung and is said to be used on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 flagship smartphones next year. The interesting thing about the processor is that its 7 nanometers LPP ( Low Power Plus) processor, that is said to consume 50 percent lower power and 20 percent performance improvement. Additonally, the processor is said to "enhance the camera" performance of the flagship smartphone Galaxy S10 similar to how the Pixel Visual Core works on Google's Pixel smartphones.
The Exynos 9820 will also include a dual-core NPU to offer enhanced AI(Artitifcial Intelligence) experience to the users. Other impressive features of the Exynos 9820 is its dedicated NPU that will help in powering the deep learning for image and speech recognition tasks, presence of the dedicated co-processor which is reported to handle neural network tasks as well as uplift image and video results. Samsung also teases the chip with the tagline " intelligence from within ".
The chip is said to process data and algorithms without putting additional burden on the performance of the CPU meaning that now users will be available to get enhanced performance while multi-tasking or gaming. Also, Some rumors suggest that the Exynos 9820 will be embedded with Mali-G76 MP18 GPU that is said to have 8 CPU cores arranged in a DynamIQ architecture. The GPU also includes 18 cores similar to the Mali-G72 GPU that is available on Exynos 9810. Stay tuned for more updates on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and other cool gadgets.
