The tech giant Samsung is planning to launch its first foldable smartphone in march 2019 along with the flagship smartphone with 5G-enabled Samsung Galaxy S10. The price tag of the Samsung's foldable smartphone has not yet been officially declared, however rumors suggest that the smartphone will be priced around Rs. 1,29,100 (Roughly $1,770). Samsung Electronics President Koh Dong-Jin said that," the company will release a foldable smartphone within the first half of 2019 and its shipment volume will be at least 1 million". This report however suggests that the rumors are true about the companies first foldable smartphone.
A South Korean news agency Yonhap wrote an article that reports that Samsung is going to launch its first foldable smartphone along with the Samsung Galaxy S10 in february or march 2019. Talking about the 5G network support, the foldable smartphone is not expected to support 5G like the flagship device Galaxy S10.
At a Developer's Conference held by Samsung, the company unveiled its foldable smartphone prototype and revealed that the smartphone will fold inward and will have a 4.6-inch display when folded inwards and have 7.4-inch display when unfolded. The interesting thing about the smartphone is that users will be available to carry this smartphone like a wallet.
